Mulch Sale

Thank you to everyone who supported the Einstein Boosters by purchasing mulch this year!

Spiritwear

Final in-school spirit wear sale of the year on Main Street has been postponed. Stay tuned for an updated time and date.

Most items were recently restocked, and we also have new white hoodies and crew neck sweatshirts in all sizes. White is the class color of this year’s Juniors, so white sweatshirts would make a great addition to the Class of 2025’s closets!

Winter Sports Update

WRESTLING STATE CHAMPS!! Congratulations to Stone Yuen and Isaac Ogunlade who are county, regional, and now state champions in their respective weight classes! See the Washington Post article at https://wapo.st/49WLQHq

Our wrestlers also had a successful showing at the County Championships. In the co-ed tournament, two wrestlers were county champions — Stone Yuen and Isaac Ogunlade. In addition, Josh Ogunlade and Omid Shirzoi placed 2nd in their weight classes, and Anthony Sharifan placed 4th. In the girls tournament, in their respective classes Cindi Vasquez-Fuentes placed 2nd, Hannah Rades and Elena Nash both placed 3rd, and Kaya Condon finished 4th. Einstein placed 6th in both the co-ed and girls tournaments – but with significantly fewer wrestlers competing than the teams above and immediately behind them. If the scores of the two tournaments were to be combined, Einstein finished second in the county!

Our girls basketball team has won their Division. In addition, both Renee Boissiere and Maeve Salzman scored their 1,000th point during the season. Amazing accomplishment!

Congratulations Boys Cross Country – State Champs!

Einstein Boys Cross Country team won the Maryland 4A State Championships! A week after being Regional Champs, the cross country team, with a strong showing from all its members, won the 4A State championships. Top Titan finishers included Patrick Mozden, 6th place, and Griffin Lupes, 23rd place. The top 25 finishes gave them All-State honors. The rest of the team included Sam Buxton (28th place), Estifanos Melaku (39th), Hank Schwartz (43rd), Zane Peterson (85th), and Luke Burkes (101st).

Coach Eric DaSilva was chosen by the Washington Post as its All-Met Coach of the Year for Boys Cross-Country. Here is what they had to say:

Coach of the Year

Eric DaSilva, Einstein

Einstein won the first state title in school history at Hereford High on Nov. 11. In a highly competitive Class 4A, DaSilva had a team that didn’t have a runner in the top five but managed to build enough depth to take the team title. DaSilva helped Einstein have the best season in program history.

The Pigskin Club of Washington, Inc, has selected Coach DaSilva as Cross Country Coach of the Year and Patrick Mozden as “Runner of the Year” for their 2023 Fall Awards. They will be recognized at the 85th Annual Awards Dinner on February 23, 2024.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

What does Boosters do with the funds we raise? We support and help raise money for every AEHS sports team, funding sports equipment, field maintenance, team meals, and more to supplement MCPS funding. Our goal is to provide each athlete with a new uniform every other year. We also award a minimum of six $1,000 scholarships yearly to senior athletes.
