What Do the Boosters Do?
Most people know that the Boosters are the folks who sell spirit wear and operate the concessions at the football games. You might know that we offer scholarships to senior athletes. But what else does Boosters do with the money it raises??
Every year, Boosters provides stipends to all teams for team meals and senior night activities. Team liaisons and coaches decide how to use these stipends.
In 2022-2023, Boosters:
- paid for improvements and new equipment for the concession stand at the stadium, including:
- a new refrigerator,
- a new freezer,
- a hot dog machine, and
- equipment to enable credit card (and google/apple pay) payments
- purchased a new hot dog machine for the indoor concessions next to the gym
- bought equipment for volleyball, soccer, and track and field teams, and a laptop for the swim team
- helped pay for new audio and speaker equipment in the stadium, as well as for a Sony field camera system so that teams could review game video
In 2023-2024, Boosters paid for:
- a new garage door for the “shed” at the entrance to the stadium
- electrical work in this shed
- powerwashing of the stadium stands
When teams participate in fundraising activities, such as the mulch sale or organizing and working concessions for sports other than football, a portion of the proceeds are held aside for that team. These funds are used for team-specific expenditures, and all teams may contribute a small amount to expenses and improvements that benefit all teams and students.
