Scholarships

The 2024 Scholarship application is now closed.

The Boosters award six (6) $1,000 scholarships to graduating senior student athletes.  In addition, Boosters facilitates the Rackey Scholarships, awarded to two girls who are student-athletes and will be the first in their households to attend college. Only one application is required for these awards.

Scholarship recipients are announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony in May.

To apply, student athletes, trainers, or team managers must meet the following criteria:

  • Athletic participation: Applicant must be a 12th grade student in good standing at AEHS who has participated on at least one varsity athletic team or spirit team during two (2) years while attending AEHS. Participation may be as a player, manager, trainer, or statistician.

  • Academic achievement: Applicant must have a minimum cumulative unweighted high school grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

  • Leadership/Sportsmanship: Applicants must have 2 coaches complete a recommendation form (Google form). While Boosters recognizes that because of changes in coaches or an athlete only having one coach, getting 2 coaches might be difficult. For fairness and to keep it in the Einstein community, the next best option if a second coach is not available would be an Einstein teacher or administrator. External club or travel coaches should be an absolute last resort.

  • Higher Education: Applicant must plan to enroll in an institution of higher learning within 8 months of graduation from AEHS. Institutions can be colleges, universities, technical, or vocational schools.

  • Household Education History: The two Rackey scholarships are intended for girls who are the first in their household to attend continuing education.

  • Application Form: Applicants must complete and submit their applications by the deadline.

  • Interview: The Scholarship Committee will arrange interviews for those applicants considered finalists. The interview is required and awardees will be chosen based on the application and interview. Interviews will be scheduled for late April or early May.

  • Financial Need: Financial need is not a factor or consideration in applying for this scholarship.

  • Submission: The completed application form and short essays were due March 15.

Scholarship winners will be announced at the Senior Awards Ceremony in spring 2024.

Each award will be made payable to the student upon proof of enrollment at an institution of higher learning (usually a class schedule with the student’s name included). In the event that the selected student does not enroll and attend an institution within 8 months of graduation from AEHS, the scholarship will be forfeited. Funds may be used for tuition, books, instructional materials, and on-campus room and board.
